Title: Director of Human Resources - APAC
- ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Human Resources – APAC, under the supervision of the Vice President – Human Resources, will lead the APAC Region HR strategy and operations. This person will:
- Manage and guide the Human Resources (HR) team to design and deliver value-added HR services, initiatives and processes in APAC;
- Lead, manage, coordinate, influence, and guide the APAC HR organization to ensure the highest levels of staff performance and HR program delivery and support;
- Lead the design and communication of all company-wide HR initiatives and processes in APAC;
- Play a key leadership role in developing means to enhance the performance, retention, recruitment, and engagement of employees in APAC;
- Lead the APAC region’s HR teams to ensure that succession planning, talent management and future leadership requirements have been developed and executed;
- Identify, develop, and lead the implementation of HR-related decisions to support local and Senior Executives’ business initiatives;
- Oversee all Key Position Staffing requirements, Compensation, and Benefit Programs, Employee Engagement and Learning and Developments initiatives for APAC-based operations, and related data management in SuccessFactors (HRIS); and
- Collaborate with local HR Managers and Company business leaders to address HR-related issues, support employee investigations, and resolve complex employee issues while ensuring a fair and appropriate outcome.
- DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (End Results Expected):
- Manage and provide direction to the APAC HR staff to ensure that (i) APAC-based HR Programs target and support APAC-based employees, and (ii) APAC HR objectives and plans are aligned with Company organizational goals and needs.
- Provide support as needed to the local HR Managers with respect to Compensation and Benefits programs including:
(a) Compensation studies and salary administration;
(b) Salary Planning and Performance Management Systems;
(c) Job Analysis and Job Descriptions;
(d) Local Incentive Plan administration (e.g., sales and management incentive plans);
(e) Local Pension Plans;
(f) Employee welfare, benefits, Social Programs and Mandated Health & Welfare Administration and Compliance; and
(g) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance.
- Consult with local APAC HR managers on employee relations matters to ensure that potential employee relations issues are handled in a proactive manner to resolve issues or elevate the concern to senior leaders.
- Coach APAC-based managers and employees on HR-related issues including Employee Performance Reviews, development of Performance Improvement Plans, and termination of the employment relationship when appropriate.
- Oversee and support APAC region staffing requirements and processes including international assignments and relocations, the recruitment of technical and senior management staff, and selection and onboarding processes to help ensure the effectiveness and retention of hired staff.
- Develop, prepare, generate, and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc reports, such as information related to benefits costs, recruiting effectiveness, and employee turnover and compensation trends, and develop meaningful metrics and measures that support the objective assessment of the performance of each APAC HR Department.
- Lead the HR team in the day-to-day use of the HRIS while developing processes that enhance the HR teams’ utilization of the HRIS, including the maintenance and expansion of HRIS system capabilities by performing systems needs assessments, workflow outlines, and configuration design and implementation planning.
- Establish appropriate measures to ensure that for locations where GDPR applies, the location has complied with applicable GDPR requirements.

- BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS :
EDUCATION: Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, or other related areas. A Master of Arts Degree in Human Resources Management is desired.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in a medium/high tech, international entities, in highly matrixed environments with evidence of progressive responsibility and management experience.

- Is able to use personal computers and office software effectively. Has a demonstrated proficiency using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Preferred Experience:
- Highly experienced with multinational entities, including those with presence in the USA and ASIA and local labor laws and regulations and reporting requirements.
- Experience working in various fields in Human Resources (e.g., Compensation and Benefits).
- Experience working in companies with (i) a culturally and geographically diverse business, and (ii) a highly complex and matrixed organizational structure.
- Experience within a manufacturing and engineering environment with responsibility to formulae and drive the HR strategy and agenda while working closely with local and Senior leadership.
- Preferred Skills:
- Has the ability to plan, develop and implement short term and longer-term plans and achieve established goals and objectives.
- Is able to use HR and business metrics, including Key Performance Indicators and relationships with others, to solve problems effectively and support decisions in a methodical and organized manner.
