In Hungary Bourns Inc. has two sites, in Ajka and Veszprém. In Ajka we have our automotive manufacturing activities, while in Veszprém we have no manufacturing but development and sales activities. At our sites we provide an inspiring and creative environment that guarantees the development of new ideas and innovative solutions in the long term.

ELECTRICAL TEAM LEADER

 

We are seeking an Electronical Team Leader, who is responsible for the conception, design, and development of new products including establishing design requirements, generating design concepts, and prototyping and design evaluation. As member of the Bourns engineering team, you will provide technical leadership for multiple projects, work with cross-functional teams to ensure that design, test, and development systems meet internal and customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory safety standards. You will manage, lead and mentor engineers with less experience and provide technical assistance to team members on each project.

 

YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • management and execution of engineering projects and programs of moderate to high-level complexity ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to Company standards, operation requirements and business needs.
  • provision of project management guidance using various business tools while utilizing a systematic approach to project execution and tracking.
  • leading and managing  projects to meet cost savings targets and quality improvement initiatives, and maximize cost reductions.
  • scheduling, managing and communication of complex project plans to ensure project plans meet customer milestones and expectations.
  • fostering new and innovative ideas to optimize process output and throughput and equipment utilization.
  • design and development of devices and systems using concepts prototyping and device and system evaluation.
  • accountable for products and processes from component to system levels.
  • developing and qualifying test methods, protocols and procedures used in product qualification, design verification, reporting and document control.
  • establishment and ensurance of appropriate processes are used for design reviews of new and redesigned parts, including:
    • Tolerance analysis;
    • Drawing reviews; and
    • Geometric Dimensioning systems.
  • preparing technical documentation in conformance with Company design control procedures including:
    • Design requirements and change plans;
    • Drawings and processes verification; and
    • Test protocols, reports and verification documents.
  • reviewing and approves Engineering Change Notices.
  • Preparing effective, content-rich management reports and presentations.
  • overseeing the execution of feasibility and verification testing using test fixtures and laboratory instruments.

 

YOU ARE THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IF:

  • you have a degree in engineering or equivalent experience (A Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline is desired)
  • you have minimum 7 years related engineering experience
  • you have minimum 2 years people management experience and you are able to motivate others
  • you have knowledge in automotive standards
  • you gained experience in project management in the automotive industry
  • you have strong communication skills
  • you have ability to lead teams in:
    • Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis; and
    • Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis
