Job Description:

🚀  AREA SALES MANAGER


As a Area Sales Manager your main responsibility will be the sale of Bourns products within assigned sales territory (Eastern Europe) to all existing & potential customers with focus on major key accounts. You will take ownership for the overall business development in the assigned region.


Your primary duties and responsibilities:

  • obtain purchase orders from customers within territory
  • develop new business for Bourns (new customers, identifies product gaps, advises about trends and needs)
  • cooperate with customer service team in proper handling of customer orders; and distribution partners in Demand Discovery and Demand Creation
  • make an optimum number of face to face and virtual sales calls to engineering and purchasing contacts for the purpose of product presentations, pursuing information and obtaining sales orders
  • seek new uses and applications for company products; assist customers in adopting company products to their own requirements and specifications
  • achieve monthly sales booking and new design quotas and forecasts
  • submit reports on customers and market trends and on key customer activitiies
  • attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, sales contests, and trade shows as directed


You are the ideal candidate if:

  • You have degree in electronic engineering (or electronic background)
  • You have minimum of five years successful experience in a key account / account sales function (ideally in passive components and semiconductors)
  • You have the ability to develop and maintain a cordial relationship with engineers and buyers across multiple hierarchies
  • You have the ability to interpret customer specifications and make recommendations to customer engineers
  • You have the ability to operate with a minimum of supervision and the ability to solve problems with a minimum of guidance (work from home-office) 
  • You must be a self-starter, dependable and accept responsibility
  • You can speak in English and Hungarian fluently
