Job Description:

  1. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the supply chain within the BDM organization.  To ensure on-time deliveries to the customer.

  1. JOB RESPONSABILITIES:
  • The following areas and processes are under its responsibility: Finished product warehouse, raw material and MRO.
  • Receipt process, master planning of the division, scheduling by line or type of product, purchase of raw materials and MRO.
  • Delivery of finished product on time with our customers (OTD).
  • Define strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels of the different categories.
  • Coordination of physical and cyclical inventories at division level.
  • Creation of reports of indicators of the department on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis as appropriate.
  • Creation of strategies for the department aligned with the results required at the plant level.
  • Presentation of the monthly master plan (for the next 3 months), before the different departments to guarantee in a timely manner the allocation of resources, raw materials, sales plan and on-time deliveries with the client.
  • Participation in safety culture at the plant level.
  • Control and reduction of expenses in the area, such as freight, shipping supplies and MRO material.
  • Warehouse management of raw materials and finished products.
  • Participation in continuous improvement events (Kaizen).
  • Communication with Customer Service.
  • Based on the needs of the business, manage the number of personnel required by the department.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of employee recognition.
  • Define and maintain a constant improvement in the flow of materials within the plant to meet the needs of the customer and the objectives of the company.
  • Ensure compliance with LPA's, 5's audit in the department.
  • Create, review and update procedures as required.
  • Control, monitoring and disposal of material considered excess and obsolete.
  • Apply every day the Lean Manufacturing and 5'Ss culture.
  1. AUTHORITY OF THE POSITION:
  • Stop any production or administrative process that could threaten the integrity of the company's people, products or goods, including equipment and facilities.
  • Stop any production process that is suspicious or has been confirmed, of generating products that do not meet our quality standards.
  • Stop the production of a product or products that are generating quality problems.
  • Stop any activity, substance, product, process when detects that it causes a direct environmental impact or that fails to comply with any compliance requirement.

Education: The position requires a university degree.

Work Experience: Must have more than 5 years in the position, experience in following up on customer needs.

Knowledge of production scheduling and customer services.

Knowledge of advanced spoken and written English

Office, SAP

Knowledge of Customs Traffic.

Knowledge of planning and negotiating customer promises,

Knowledge of the procedures, manuals and instructions applicable to the position.
