Job Description:

  1. ROLE DESCRIPTION: 

 

Plans, coordinates, conducts assignments relating to the development of new products. Designs/develops major new products and processes with a high degree of complexity, manages all aspects of project activity to insure successful completion through production implementation, provides engineering support to existing products; redesigns current products for improved profitability, performance, quality, and reliability.

 

 

 

  1. DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (End Results Expected):

 

      1. Responsible in electrical/electronic circuit design as it pertains to EMI/EMC, electronic devices communication protocols (Analog & digital), and signal conditioning to achieve linearization over null to full signal scale.
      2. Develops contacting and non-contacting Sensors and Controls utilize proven technologies.
      3. Leads Design and Testing of Sensors and Controls to meet customer’s EMI / EMC requirements
      4. Develops product specifications and test requirements.
      5. Works with product development team to develop concept design, then build and test prototype for New Business Opportunities.
      6. Works with the team, suppliers and the plant to obtain quote (cost and schedule) for prototype and production.
      7. Serves as a technical Subject Matter Expert for Account Managers and Program Managers with respect to technical requirements for assigned products and programs.
      8. Plans and conducts electronic test methods and procedures for the evaluation of a product or process control.
      9. Designs, modify and fabricates prototype analog and digital circuitry and devices, sub­ assemblies and components, including design layouts.
      10. Designs, modifies and fabricates production electronic circuitry and devices, sub-assemblies and components including design layouts, including final testing for sensors, accelerometers and pressure sensors.
      11. Supports cross-functional team to investigate technical problems in product, process and quality control involving electrical and electronic engineering. 
      12. Challenges the “status quo” and identifies process improvement opportunities
      13. Performs statistical analysis to track and analyzes trends with emphasis on recommending actions to resolve complicated problems and improve processes.
      14. Reviews and approves Engineering Change Notices.
      15. Prepares effective and detailed reports and presentations for delivery to upper management.
      16. Travels to domestic or foreign locations of the Company or its customers or suppliers to work in an office, laboratory or production environment to analyze and solve engineering-related issues.
      17. Defines design confirmation and design validation plans for engineering changes and new designs.
      18. Performs other duties that support the success of the Company.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

 

WRITTEN:  Good written skills required to

  • Convey complex ideas, concepts and detailed technical analysis to team members, supervisors, customers and suppliers in a clear and understandable manner in written form.
  • Issue instructions and present ideas, concepts, and solutions to all levels of employees and vendors via letters, memos, graphs, and chart

 

 

 

  V.    SCHEDULING AND PLANNING:

Plans, schedules and directs all assigned project activities.  Involved in short-term and long-range planning activities.
