Job Description:

  1. BASIC PURPOSE:

The Senior Account Sales Manager is responsible for driving Sales growth and expanding market share for Bourns products in Korea through direct customer engagement and distributor management. This role will develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry partners while supporting strategic business growth initiatives across assigned accounts and market segments.

This role requires strong Sales experience within the electronics industry, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to develop sales strategies that drive long-term business growth in the Korea market.

  1. DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Sales & Account Management:

  • Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities by proactively seeking and evaluating new business opportunities for Bourns products.
  • Drive assigned direct account business and continuously increase sales revenue.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, strategic accounts, and industry leaders to ensure customer preference and long-term loyalty.
  • Support customer projects, design-in activities, and opportunity development.
  • Manage quotations, pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and overall account activities.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and maintain close customer engagement.
  • Generate and manage a strong sales pipeline to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Monitor project progress, opportunity status, and customer activities to maximize business growth.

Distributor Management

  • Manage assigned distributors and strengthen business relationships.
  • Develop distributor sales plans and programs to increase market share and sales growth.
  • Support distributor training activities together with product marketing and business units.
  • Monitor distributor activities, opportunities, forecasts, and business performance.
  • Work with distributors to expand customer coverage and generate new business opportunities.
  • Recommend improvements and changes related to distributor strategies and market coverage.
  • Formally report territory distribution activities and key account updates on a monthly basis.

Business Development & Market Activities

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to understand customer preferences, industry trends, and competitive activities.
  • Utilize market and competitive information to refine sales strategies and product positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to develop and execute targeted sales campaigns and business growth strategies.
  • Promote Bourns products and increase customer awareness within target markets.
  • Support business reviews, forecasting activities, and strategic planning.
  • Coordinate with FAE, Operations, Product Marketing, and Customer Service teams to support customer requirements and business objectives.

  1.  COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

ORAL: Good verbal English skills required to communicate instructions and present ideas, concepts and solutions to all levels of employees and customers. 

WRITTEN:Good written skills in English. Required to issue instructions and present ideas, concepts, and

solutions to all levels of employees and customers via letters, memos, graphs, charts, etc.

  • Involved in daily, short-term, and long-range planning activities
  • Job may require travel quarterly
  1.  BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: 

Graduation from a recognized university, or equivalent education and/or experience in Electronics related with a bachelor’s degree.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 10years of field experience with some or all of the years involved in electronic distribution.
