Job Description:

Remote opportunity - The employee will be required to work Eastern Standard Time hours, specifically from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST or 4:00 AM to 1:00 PM PST.

 

SUMMARY OF POSITION:  
The Inside Salesperson will focus on supporting sales activities for designated territories under the direction of ECS Sales Directors. This position involves interacting with customers, distributors, Sales reps, and Regional Sales Managers. The ISR will support quoting, design registrations, sample activity, sales rep support as well as reporting and metric tracking. The ISR must be energetic, well-spoken, and highly motivated with a strong work ethic. They must be proactive and have the ability to work independently; an ISR should be results oriented and work collaboratively with sales or management in support of regional sales objectives.

 

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (End Results Expected): 
1. Research/qualify prospective leads given by Sales Manager or web inquiries.

2. Answer customer questions and proactively following up on related activities.
3. Enter sales activities related to new opportunities, quotes, and sample requests into either Sales Cloud or SAP as appropriate.

4. Maintain and update Sales Cloud for all related activities as customer moves through sales phase of inquiry to production orders.
5. Coordinate sample activities – providing all collateral materials and following up with customer to determine timeline for qualification to production phase.
6. Tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance, and sales metrics.

7. Building pipelines with distribution partners and product management through the design - win/book first PO phase.
8. Coordinate the Design Registration Program for assigned territory – this includes reviewing all requests, validating claims, approving, or rejecting claims back to distributor.
9. Directly communicate with distributors supporting sales activities in their region to establish relationships and mindshare to secure win business. 

10. Provide market feedback to product lines and sales managers.
11. Coordinate monthly Lead Time Report – distribute and process via EDI.
12. Coordinate global RFQ’s; includes preparation and facilitation of information between customers, product management and sales.

13. Provide process and sales support to reps, customers, and distributors.
14. Attend QBR with sales and distributor as requested by Sales.

 

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: 
Associates Degree in Business or other equivalent program. Continuation of school through higher education, and or vocational school is highly desirable.

 

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: 
2-5 years’ experience in related technical, sales or sales support position desired.

 

OTHER SKILLS: 
Ability to perform mathematical percentages, extension, and totaling. Must be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications as needed to fulfill daily job functions. SAP Experience is a plus. Will be required to create charts, graphs and maintain databases to create sales reports.

 

TRAVEL: 
Possible opportunities to travel as required < 10%.

 

COMMUNICATIONS:
Must be able to speak English fluently. Must be able to communicate with all levels of management. Requires good writing skills. Ability to produce quality reports that are well organized, clearly stated, and concise. E-mails are expected to be well written, complete & detailed to the level of each readers understanding.

 

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: 
Requires ability to interact with all types and levels of people both internally and externally. It is expected that you will lead in fostering a positive teamwork environment. Requires excellent communication skills.

 

SCHEDULING AND PLANNING:  
Must be able to schedule and organize time to efficiently complete tasks. Requires demonstrated abilities to multi-task, prioritize and mange time effectively critical for meeting deadlines as set by customers and management team.

 

EQUIPMENT OPERATED:
Telephone, Copier, Scanner, Fax, adding machine, personal computer, and software such as MS/Word, MS/Excel, MS/PowerPoint, and MS/Project.

SALARY RANGE: 
$54,500 - $64,500
