Job Description:

We are seeking a highly hands‑on, tech‑savvy People Operations leader to step into a brand‑new Director role at a pivotal moment of growth for our organization. This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of people, process, and technology, and who brings deep comfort navigating systems, data, and emerging tools to drive operational excellence.

The role requires a strong systems mindset; someone who not only understands HR technology and data, but who can proactively leverage it to anticipate needs, solve problems, and enable the business at scale.

Position Summary

The Director, Global People Operations – HRIS, Data & Payroll Governance is a strategic and hands‑on leader responsible for building and sustaining a scalable, data‑driven, and globally cohesive People Operations infrastructure. This role serves as the HR functional leader for SuccessFactors, oversees global HR service delivery, partners deeply with payroll teams across multiple countries, and leads HR data integrity, governance, and analytics.

 

The ideal candidate is both visionary and execution‑oriented—able to architect the future‑state global people operations ecosystem while delivering immediate operational improvements. A critical focus of this role is creating high‑visibility dashboards, executing comprehensive data integrity reviews, performing system cleanup, plan integrations for local payroll systems into SuccessFactors, and establishing an enterprise-wide HR data and systems governance model.

 

This leader will optimize and scale global programs while ensuring excellence in HR technology, data management, payroll alignment, and service delivery—creating a seamless, reliable, and insight‑driven employee experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. HRIS & Systems Leadership (SuccessFactors)

  • Serve as the HR functional owner for the global SuccessFactors platform.
  • Partner closely with IT to design system configuration, optimize data workflows, and enhance system performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of end‑user experience for employees, managers, HR, and Shared Services.
  • Establish and lead governance processes for new modules, integrations, enhancements, and system change management.
  • Conduct system cleanup and implement architecture improvements to support scalability and data transparency.
  • Build integrations linking local/regional payroll systems with SuccessFactors to ensure accurate, automated, and compliant data flow.

 

2. HR Shared Services

  • Oversee the global HR service delivery model, including case management, knowledge management, and Tier 1/Tier 2 support processes.
  • Ensure consistent, high‑quality employee experiences across all regions.
  • Standardize global HR operational processes and service‑level expectations.
  • Partner with Shared Services teams to improve documentation, workflows, and escalation pathways.

 

3. Global Payroll Oversight

  • Partner with global Payroll teams and external vendors to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing across multiple countries.
  • Lead efforts to harmonize payroll processes, including controls, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain HR‑to‑payroll integration workflows and validation routines.
  • Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and improvements to payroll data accuracy and governance.

 

4. People Data & Analytics

  • Own the global people data infrastructure, including data models, governance, dictionaries, and reporting standards.
  • Build critical dashboards, recurring reports, and operational metrics for HR, Finance, and leadership teams.
  • Lead global data integrity audits and drive corrective actions across HR and payroll systems.
  • Provide insights to support strategic decisions in areas such as organizational structure, workforce planning, compensation, and attrition.
  • Ensure global compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and internal security policies.

 

5. People Process Optimization

  • Lead continuous improvement of people processes across the entire employee lifecycle (hire‑to‑retire).
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and scale HR operations globally.
  • Establish process maps, documentation, and governance frameworks across all HR functions.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Finance, Legal, IT, and business leaders to align workflows, controls, and operational standards.
  • Drive adoption of standardized global processes while respecting regional compliance and cultural needs.

 

Qualifications

 

Required

  • 10+ years of experience across People Operations, HRIS, HR Data, or related HR operational disciplines.
  • Global experience working across multiple countries/regions in a matrixed environment.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights.
  • Hands‑on experience administering or managing enterprise HR systems (SuccessFactors).
  • Proven ability to design scalable processes, governance structures, and data frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management and change management capabilities.

Hiring Range: 

$150,00-170,000 annually plus bonus.
