Job Description:

TÍTULO DEL PUESTO: QUALITY ENGINEER

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Ensure product quality reliability through electrical, environmental, and mechanical stress testing to collect the necessary information and evidence required for product qualification or at a customer's request. Coordinate and follow up with the personnel involved in the process regarding the corresponding tasks.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Analyze the data obtained during stress tests, comparing the results against the corresponding standard, in order to approve the number of parts under evaluation.
  • Analyze the defects obtained during stress tests, verifying the deviation obtained against the corresponding standard, to determine the root cause.
  • Plan and schedule product qualification and RATP sequences, obtaining the requirements of the involved areas, in order to deliver the results within the established period.
  • Communicate the qualification and RATP results through a communication to stakeholders and through established means, to inform them of the closure of the evaluation results.
  • Communicate the opening of defect reports (RFNs) through a communication to stakeholders and through established means, to report the existence of an inconsistency in the evaluated material.
  • Create qualification test documentation, applying the methodology in accordance with the Organization's policies and procedures, to establish the evaluation requirements. g) Lead quality assurance in new products, in order to guarantee compliance and application of corporate policies related to their design.
  • Provide service to internal and external customers who require additional information related to product reliability.
  • Actively participate in external audits to provide support during this process and collaborate in achieving the objectives of said review.
  • Maintain updated documentation of stress tests to ensure viable information is available to the Quality Department.
  • Follow up on the closure of failure reports to maintain accurate and complete information for adequate service to internal and external customers.
  • Ensure work environments focused on developing the 6S philosophy, supporting the team in its implementation.
  • Perform other tasks related to your position.

 

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

Academic Qualifications

• Industrial Engineer or related field

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in similar responsibilities.

Additional training:

  • Knowledge of methodologies (Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma, Red Ex)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
  • Knowledge of AECQ 200
  • Knowledge of PPAP
  • Advanced Excel (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Core Tools and Minitab (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Office Suite
  • B1 English spoken and written proficiency
