Job Description:

 I.    SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Plan, organize, and audit the operations of the procurement department, and establish procurement goals and strategies to facilitate the department's implementation.

 

II.     DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (End Results Expected):

  1. Establish procurement systems and strategies to achieve the company’s overall goals for quality, delivery, cost and ESG requirement.
  2. Utilize procurement strategies to effectively reduce purchase costs.
  3. Develop supply chain management strategies to shorten lead times and reduce inventory.
  4. Search for suppliers with technical capabilities to support new product development.
  5. Implement risk management to adopt effective methods for key raw materials, avoiding supply disruptions.
  6. Participate in regular meetings with cross-functional teams, provide information and suggestions to solve problems and complete tasks.
  7. Handling the procurement process, sourcing suppliers and managing vendor relationships to ensure a seamless supply chain and optimize costs.
  8. Evaluate procurement plans and review the appropriateness of purchase orders and procurement contracts.
  9. Visit major domestic and international suppliers to understand their capabilities and whether their conditions meet the requirements.
  10. Evaluate suppliers' quality systems, process capabilities, and delivery efficiency to select appropriate suppliers.
  11. Supervise delivery and quality issues, and support procurement staff in handling major quality and delivery matters.
  12. Develop and supervise the execution of material cost reduction plans to meet targets on schedule.
  13. Coordinate new product development and cost-reduction projects, such as quotations, sample trials, process development, scheduling, etc.

 

III.    INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

Able to work independently, with strong communication and coordination skills.

 

 IV.  COMMUNICATIONS:

ORAL: Good command in English, knowledge of Japanese is preferred.

WRITTEN: Good command in English, knowledge of Japanese is preferred.

 

 V.   PROJECT MANAGEMENT, SCHEDULING AND PLANNING:

Good at time management, be able to continually evaluate priorities and make appropriate adjustments.

 

VI.    BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or higher, majoring in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, International Trade, or related fields

RAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiar with SAP system, ERP, SCM concept
  • High integrity and strong business negotiation skills
  • Professional skills in supplier evaluation.
  • Over 7 years of experience in electronic material procurement (including 2+ years in a supervisory role).
  • Ability to implement IATF-16949 quality system requirements.
