Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Automation Equipment Assistant Engineer is responsible for executing development of manufacturing equipment and tooling. This role focuses on supporting equipment development activities, as well as providing automation solutions to improve production efficiency and equipment reliability

 

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Assist in the design and development of automation equipment, mechanical structures, fixtures, and tooling to support manufacturing operations.
  2. Support equipment development activities, including concept design, prototyping, testing, and implementation under the guidance.
  3. Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and conducting root cause analysis to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  4. Provide technical support to technicians during equipment assembly, debugging, and maintenance activities.
  5. Maintain and update engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change records.
  6. Support equipment installation, commissioning, and production line optimization activities.
  7. Follow instructions and technical direction from the supervisor while developing hands-on engineering experience.

COMMUNICATIONS

Oral: mandarin Chinese and good command of English.

Written: proficient in written Chinese and good command of English

 

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related fields.

Training and experience: minimum of two years experiences in mechanical design and tooling/fixture design for automation or manufacturing equipment; Able to utilize SolidWorks and Inventor to create 3D models, mechanical designs, and engineering drawings.
