Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Assistant Engineer supports production operations by troubleshooting equipment issues, assisting with mechanical design and equipment improvements, and coordinating maintenance activities. This role also analyzes production and maintenance data, maintains technical documentation, and collaborates with engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall production performance

 

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Analyze and resolve equipment and production process issues, providing technical guidance to technicians to ensure stable operations.
  2. Support the design, modification, and improvement of mechanical components, tooling, fixtures, and production equipment
  3. Maintain and analyze production, testing, and maintenance data to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  4. Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating work instructions, maintenance procedures, and engineering or process documentation.
  5. Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, equipment upgrades, and productivity improvement.
  6. Provide technical support to production teams, ensuring proper equipment operation and assisting in resolving operational issues.
  7. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment performance, improving efficiency, and reducing operational waste

 

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

  1. Teamwork skills to effectively communicate with manufacturing team, quality team, lab etc..
  2. Identify problems and find resolutions as quickly as possible.
  3. Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment

 

COMMUNICATIONS

Oral: Mandarin Chinese and good command of English.

Written: Proficient in written Chinese and good command of English

 

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in electronics or mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited four-year college or university

Training and experience: 2 years in electronics manufacturing or similar environment preferred

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Experienced in SolidWorks and Inventor is preferred
