PROJECT COORDINATOR
We are seeking a Project coordinator who will be responsible for the execution of the project. As a member of the Bourns engineering team, you will manage day to day resources, provide project guidance and monitor and report on the project’s metrics as defined in the Project Plan. As Project Coordinator, you will be the primary communicator for the project distributing information according to the plan. Project coordinator augment the project manager’s visibility for larger projects. A coordinator is chartered as a representative of the project manager who proactively ensures future events will occur as planned. He or she signals problem areas and recommends solutions.
YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
- Coordination of product launches & project activities
- Providing expediting help to project and support organizations.
- Providing independent assessment of project information and status to the project manager and plant management and the project team
- Ensurance of planning and milestones are satisfied.
- Ensurance ocontrol procedures are being adhered to.
- Seeking to shorten the critical path every day.
- Responsible for disciplinary issues of project execution
- management of day-to-day project activities regarding new product launches, product & process changes and cost saving actions
- Supervision of project activities, project /timing /resource /budget /quality planning and execution
- Providing leadership to the cross-functional project team assigned for process development and project execution, product realization
- Coordination of product or technology transfers, when needed
- Leading specification/documentation and purchasing activities for processes, technical solutions, equipments and tooling and measuring equipments
- Supporting supplier/vendor selection activities
- Leading major process and/or quality improvement actions
- Development and leading of implementation of continuous improvement strategies (5S; BPS etc)
- Facilitating and mediation of team problems and guide interactions between members of the team
- Leading training efforts for the entire product teams
- Supervision of the overall APQP
YOU ARE THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IF:
- you have a degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical or mechatronic engineering or management)
- you have at least 2 years experience in engineering, manufacturing & project management within a complex international automotive manufacturing environment
- you have a broad understanding of program management & multiple engineering disciplines
- you have effective leadership skills, analytical and problem solving skills
- you have excellent communication & presentation skills, strong influencing & negotiation skills
- you are able to manage complexity and networking within a matrix structure
- you are familiar with APQP, FMEA, SPC
- you have experience in equipment and tooling purchasing
- you have strong, active communicative English language skills
